Benchtop NMR

NMR is now mobile! Benchtop NMR spectrometers bring NMR to the lab or the classroom. With a robust and simple to use design, these allow non-experts to measure proton NMR spectra in the liquid state for no cost.

SNUG have two 60 MHz proton benchtop NMR spectrometers located at the University of Edinburgh (NMReady 60e) and Heriot-Watt University (NMReady 60e), equipped with flow cell for reaction monitoring) which are available for outreach. Heriot-Watt also hosts a state-of-the-art Oxford Instruments X-Pulse broadband system. For more information about the benchtop NMR spectrometer at Edinburgh, click here, and for more information on Heriot-Watt's spectrometer, click here.

Industries or schools looking to bring NMR to your labs for a short period, please use the contacts Dr Dusan Uhrin (Edinburgh) or Dr Dave Ellis (Heriot-Watt) for further information.
