Mnova course, December 5, 2018, 9.00-13.30

The MNOVA course will be held on the 5th of December from 9.00 AM to 1.30 PM in the School of Chemistry, Edinburgh University (Lecture theatre T250). If anyone wants to bring their laptop, the data shown will be available for you to load up so you can work through the training live with the Mestrelab representative, Dr Irakusne Lopez. Dr Lopez will stay in the afternoon to answer any questions you may have.

Programme:

Session 1: 9.00 - 10.00

General intro to the software

New interface, batch processing. Many of our users are struggling to get to grips with where everything is now. Did you know that MNOVA will reprocess the Bruker data automatically? (not many people even think about this, they just click and drag)

*Coffee break: 10-10.30

Session 2: 10.30-12.30

DOSY

Kinetics

Chemometrics

Structure elucidation/verification tools.

*Lunch break: 12.30-13.30

Data interpretation session (not a Mestrelab event!) 13.30-16.00

Edinburgh NMR staff will be leading a problem solving class for those who want to practice their NMR spectra interpretation skills. A concerted use of 1D and 2D NMR methods in the structure elucidation of organic molecules will be presented.

*Meals are not provided.
