Scottish NMR spectroscopists met for the fifth time at the annual SNUG meeting in the beautiful setting of Loch Ard. Arriving via the Blair Drummond Safari & Adventure Park, we were greeted by the blue skies at the Forest Hills MacDonald hotel. The Firbush format was adhered to, with two half days of talks and Thursday afternoon outdoor activities. Many tested their courage on the Go Ape circuit in Aberfoyle, whilst others went walking in uncertain weather. The highlight of the late afternoon was a whisky tasting (£5 can go a long way!). The weather deteriorated on Friday and we travelled back in heavy rain, nevertheless refreshed and enriched by our yearly encounter.
